- Set a timer for when it is time to move clothes to the dryer and again for when dryer will finish.
- Turn clothes inside out to reduce pilling, close zippers and snaps, and unroll cuffs.
- Remove everything from pockets before washing especially, coloured paper, tissues, or anything with ink on it,

- To get cleaner laundry, add about 1/4 cup white distilled vinegar to the last rinse. The acid in white distilled vinegar is too mild to harm fabrics, yet strong enough to dissolve the alkali in soaps and detergents. Besides removing soap, white distilled vinegar prevents yellowing, acts as a fabric softener and static cling reducer, and attacks mold and mildew.
- To avoid wrinkling, remove clothes from the dryer and hang immediately.
- To remove wrinkles from clothing or linen, put in the dryer along with a wet sock or washcloth for 15 or 20 minutes.
